The Magura MT Sport disc brake, with a solid brake caliper and Carbotecture lever. The affordable high-performance brake.

The two-piece Magura MT Sport brake calipers reduce the price of this brake without compromising performance. The brake pads can be inspected for wear and replaced if necessary from above without removing the wheel.

Magura MT Sport brake lever:

the new ergonomic MT Sport brake levers with Carbotecture grip. These brake levers can be fitted on the right or left.

• Magura Carbotecture: a material newly developed by Magura, consisting of a high proportion of carbon fibres embedded in a thermoplastic matrix. More powerful, more tensile, more flexible and more fracture-resistant than conventional fibre-reinforced plastics or laminated carbon fibre mats.
• Magura Carboflow: A process newly developed by Magura that allows carbon fibres to be optimally aligned with the direction of stress. Produces homogeneous, predictable surfaces. Significant weight savings are possible, as there is no need for oversizing.
• Magura Carbolay: The fibres of the lever are stitched onto a carrier matrix before being coated with resin and cured.

Magura MT Sport brake caliper:

The Magura MT Sport aluminium brake calipers feature the new magnetiXchange brake pistons for easy pad replacement.

• Magura MagneticXchange: the magnetic brake pistons facilitate the fitting of the brake pads
• Magura Anti-Squelch: The combination of a specially formulated brake pad compound and brake disc design counteracts noise during braking.
• Magura Anti-Drag: Newly developed sealing rings and an adapted piston design ensure that, even when used in sub-zero temperatures or extremely muddy conditions, the pistons always return to their original position and do not rub against the disc.
• Magura Anti-Heat: The entire MT brake caliper system is designed to dissipate heat quickly into the surrounding environment, preventing a drop in performance.

Magura Royal Blood:

Magura continues to rely on high-performance mineral oil as the brake fluid. It is completely harmless to health in the event of skin contact and, as it does not absorb water over time like DOT fluid, bleeding intervals are significantly longer. For optimal performance, bleeding is required every 6–12 months, depending on frequency of use.

The Storm brake discs for Magura MT brakes. Particularly robust, these are the ideal brake discs for freeride and all-mountain use of Magura disc brakes under high loads.

Magura MT Sport front and rear brakes, each with 2200 mm hose length, fully pre-assembled and bled, Magura Storm HC brake discs, size selectable, optional adapters for disc size and mounting, Magura brake pads, screws and small parts required for assembly.

The Magura MT Sport Disc is supplied with Post Mount 6 brake calipers.

You can select the appropriate adapter for your frame and disc size. Currently, almost all frames use the IS 2000 standard.

IS 2000: Side mounting. An adapter is always required to fit the Magura MT Sport; maximum 203 mm, minimum 160 mm at the fork and 140 mm disc size at the frame. Common on older suspension forks and almost all rear triangle frames

Post Mount, PM5: Direct mounting of the Magura MT Sport with 140 mm brake discs, no adapter required. Maximum 180 mm, minimum 140 mm disc size. Currently only found on rear triangle frames

Post Mount, PM6: Direct mounting of the Magura MT2 with 160 mm brake discs without an adapter. Maximum 203 mm, minimum 160 mm on the fork and 140 mm disc size on the frame. Currently the most common standard on forks, and on some rear triangle frames.

Post Mount, PM7: Direct mounting without an adapter of the Magura MT Sport with 180mm brake discs. Maximum 203mm, minimum 180mm disc size. 140mm and 160mm disc sizes are not possible. Found on some enduro suspension forks such as the Magura Thor and on some rear triangle frames such as the Liteville 301.

Post Mount, PM8: Direct mounting without an adapter for the Magura MT Sport with 203mm brake discs. Can only be used with 203mm brake discs. Found only on downhill suspension forks and frames
