Magura MT4 Disc Brake Set

The new MT4 stands out thanks to its enhanced braking performance. The innovative technology combines impeccable braking reliability with control. The adjustable lever reach and the ergonomically designed two-finger brake levers allow you to modulate the braking power with pinpoint precision. This makes every trail a pleasure. The Magura MT4 disc brake, featuring a more robust caliper and a swivelling hose connection. Significantly cheaper than the MT6 brakes and only 25 grams heavier. The new Magura brakes – MT8, MT6 and MT4 – come factory-fitted with a swivelling hose outlet on the spoke side to prevent damage and allow for neat hose routing on various frame designs.

• Magura Carbotecture: A material newly developed by Magura, consisting of a high proportion of carbon fibres embedded in a thermoplastic matrix. More powerful, more tensile, more flexible and more fracture-resistant than conventional fibre-reinforced plastics or laminated carbon fibre mats. Ideally suited for processing using the Carboflow process.
• Magura Carboflow: A process newly developed by Magura that allows carbon fibres to be optimally aligned with the direction of stress. Produces homogeneous, predictable surfaces. Significant weight savings are possible, as there is no need for oversizing.
• Magura Carbolay: The fibres of the lever are stitched onto a carrier matrix before being coated with resin and cured.

Magura MT 4 brake caliper:

The Magura MT4 brake calipers are forged from a high-performance aluminium alloy and feature the new magnetiXchange brake pistons for easy pad replacement.

• Magura MagneticXchange: the magnetic brake pistons facilitate the fitting of the brake pads
• Magura Anti-Squeal: The combination of a specially formulated brake pad compound and brake disc design counteracts noise during braking.
• Magura Anti-Drag: Newly developed sealing rings and an adapted piston design ensure that, even when used in sub-zero temperatures or extremely muddy conditions, the pistons always return to their original position and do not rub against the disc.
• Magura Anti-Heat: The entire MT brake caliper system is designed to dissipate heat quickly into the surrounding environment, preventing a drop in performance.
• Magura RHR: The new Magura brakes, MT8, MT6 and MT4, come factory-fitted with a swivelling hose outlet on the spoke side to prevent damage and allow for neat hose routing on various frame designs.

Magura Royal Blood:

Magura continues to rely on high-performance mineral oil as the brake fluid. It is completely harmless to health in the event of skin contact and, as it does not absorb moisture over time like DOT fluid, bleeding intervals are significantly longer. For optimal performance, bleeding is required every 6–12 months, depending on frequency of use.

Magura Storm SL brake disc

Weight savings combined with improved cooling make the Storm SL version a top-of-the-range product in a class of its own, not least because its performance and stability meet Magura’s high standards. Stability, heat resistance and low wear are ensured by a special steel alloy. An extremely lightweight inner ring and numerous strategically placed cut-outs ensure weight optimisation in the Storm SL, whilst maintaining excellent modulation.

Magura MT4 front and rear brakes, each with 2200 mm hose length, fully pre-assembled and bled, Magura Storm SL brake discs, size selectable, optional adapters for disc size and mounting, Magura brake pads, screws and small parts required for assembly.

The Magura MT4 Disc is supplied with Post Mount 6 brake calipers.

You can select the appropriate adapter for your frame and disc size. Currently, almost all frames use the IS 2000 standard.

IS 2000: Side mounting. An adapter is always required to fit the Magura MT4; maximum 203 mm, minimum 160 mm at the fork and 140 mm disc size at the frame. Common on older suspension forks and almost all rear triangle frames

Post Mount, PM5: Direct mounting of the Magura MT4 with 140 mm brake discs without an adapter. Maximum 180 mm, minimum 140 mm disc size. Currently only found on rear triangle frames

Post Mount, PM6: Direct mounting of the Magura MT6 with 160 mm brake discs without an adapter. Maximum 203 mm, minimum 160 mm on the fork and 140 mm disc size on the frame. Currently the most common standard on forks, and on some rear triangle frames.

Post Mount, PM7: Direct mounting of the Magura MT4 with 180mm brake discs without an adapter. Maximum 203mm, minimum 180mm disc size. 140mm and 160mm disc sizes are not possible. Found on some enduro suspension forks such as the Magura Thor and on some rear triangle frames such as the Liteville 301.

Post Mount, PM8: Direct mounting without an adapter for the Magura MT4 with 203mm brake discs. Can only be used with 203mm brake discs. Found only on downhill suspension forks and frames
