Shimano XTR CS M980 Cassette Spare Parts

The Shimano XTR CS M980 cassette consists of three sprocket blocks and four individual sprockets. Some of the sprocket blocks are fitted with titanium sprockets; they are very light but not exactly cheap.

Shimano manufactures its own sprockets with different shift characteristics for almost every cassette ratio. Therefore, the replacement sprockets and sprocket blocks are only perfectly matched to one another in the specified ratio. If you mix sprockets from different ratios, the shifting performance may deteriorate significantly.
