Shimano SLX CS Cassette - M7100

The new Shimano SLX 12-speed components, affordable and well-suited for use ranging from cross-country to enduro. The SLX components designated 7100 are designed for 1x12 and 1x12-speed drivetrains. The Deore SLX M7100 series boasts a host of technical highlights, including Shimano’s groundbreaking 12-speed Micro Spline cassettes, available with a range of 10-45T or 10-51T, 1x12- or 2x12-speed Hollowtech II cranksets, powerful two- and four-piston brakes, I-Spec EV shift levers, and high-precision 12-speed rear derailleurs and front derailleurs.

Shimano SLX CS-7100 Cassette:

The Shimano SLX 12-speed CS-M7100 cassette with 11–45 teeth is the cassette for racing, with closely spaced gears and perfect shifting. At the same time, it is also the most carefully spaced and, thanks to Hyperglide+, shifts superbly even under load. The close spacing allows for precisely calculated gear changes without large, noticeable jumps or gaps, which saves power and energy and helps maintain flow on the trail in all situations. The cassettes feature an aluminium spider construction; the two largest sprockets are also made of aluminium, whilst the remaining ten are made of steel, ensuring an excellent, balanced combination of robustness and durability on the one hand, and low weight on the other.

Shimano SLX CS M7100 12-speed cassette compatibility:

The new Shimano 12-speed cassette from the SLX 7100 series is only compatible with 12-speed MTB drivetrain components. The CN-M7100 chain is recommended. Shimano’s 12-speed MTB cassettes are only compatible with the new Micro Spline freehub bodies.

Shimano Hyperglide Plus

The redesigned cassette and chain of the HYPERGLIDE+ drivetrain are designed for the new generation of MTB and touring, offering improved speed, shifting efficiency and smoothness on any terrain. Better chain retention, greater holding power and smoother pedalling ensure greater performance and a secure riding experience in rapidly changing terrain conditions. The clearly defined upshifts and downshifts in both directions help the rider stay focused and support acceleration. The highly efficient drivetrain with smoother power transfer ensures greater comfort and less stress. The wide selection of derailleurs and cassettes, combined with single or double chainrings, supports a wide range of MTB riding styles, experience levels and preferences.
