Shimano XT FC-M8100 crankset
The new Deore XT 1x12-speed crankset features – naturally – Shimano’s world-renowned Holowtech II technology, amongst other things. For the chainrings, DYNAMIC CHAIN ENGAGEMENT+ technology, with its alternating wider and narrower teeth and specially precision-machined tooth profile, ensures that the chain is held securely on the chainring at the top, but is released just as easily, smoothly and quietly at the bottom as it runs down, guaranteeing both safety and efficiency. Thanks to the Direct-Mount attachment, the chainrings can also be fitted quickly and easily, allowing them to be swapped out rapidly for different riding scenarios. With 28, 30, 32, 34 and 36 teeth, there are five chainring options available for every terrain and every fitness level. The crankset is available in lengths of 165 mm, 170 mm, 175 mm and 180 mm, as well as in three versions: FC-M8100-1 for a 52 mm chainline; 172 mm Q-factor and mounting widths of 142 and 148 mm, FC-M8120-1 for a 55 mm chainline, 178 mm Q-factor and 148 mm O.L.D., and the Super Boost variant FC-M8130-1 for a 56.5 mm chainline, 181 mm Q-factor and 157 mm O.L.D.
