BB30A 73 bottom bracket shell, asymmetrical
Unlike standard BB30 bottom bracket shells, the BB30A shells are asymmetrical. The press-fit dimension of the bearings is 42 mm and the bottom bracket shell width is 73 mm. The drive side of the bottom bracket is narrower than the non-drive side. This installation dimension was developed by Cannondale and is only compatible with road bike cranksets. Therefore, BB30 cranksets or bottom brackets will not fit.
SRAM DUB crank axles 29 mm:
SRAM has developed its own axle standard for DUB cranks. Sram DUB cranks have an axle diameter of 29 mm and are only compatible with bottom brackets designed for DUB cranks. The MTB DUB cranks have a longer axle (112 mm) than the road bike DUB cranks (106 mm). This means that MTB cranks can also be fitted to frames with wider bottom bracket shells.
