Chris King ThreadFit30 Bottom Bracket
The legendary Chris King bearing quality is also available for bottom brackets. Perfectly sealed, silky-smooth running, extremely durable and highly resilient – the Chris King bottom brackets. The stainless steel full-contact angular contact ball bearings are manufactured to extremely high precision with minimal tolerances. Manufactured in the USA with the aim of producing the best bottom bracket on the market. Provided they are fitted correctly, this pays off for years to come with a wonderfully smooth ride.
Compatible with: SRAM DUB MTB and road bike cranksets with a 29 mm axle and Cane Creek eeWings, FSA EVO386, e*Thirteen, Race Face Cinch 30, White Industries, SRAM Evo386 cranksets with a 30 mm axle. Please note that these bottom brackets are not compatible with BB30 cranksets; the axle on BB30 cranksets is too short.
Chris King ThreadFit 30:
At Chris King, the designation ThreadFit 30 refers to the inner diameter of the bearings, which is 30 mm. These bottom brackets are designed for frames with BSA threads, a 68–73 mm threading width, and gravel, MTB and road bike cranksets with 30 mm axles. To fit the Chris King ThreadFit 30 bottom brackets to different axle lengths and installation widths, a conversion kit is still required. This allows the Chris King ThreadFit 30 bottom brackets to be adapted to cranks with 30 mm axles and almost all bottom bracket shell widths. The minimum axle length of the cranks must not be less than 104 mm for a 68 mm installation width.
Chris King ball bearings:
Chris King develops and manufactures its ball bearings in Oregon, USA. Every single Chris King bearing is inspected and assembled by hand. Unlike conventional radial bearings, Chris King builds sealed angular contact bearings and equips them with significantly more balls than in conventional bearings. Rather than wearing out, Chris King ball bearings, like a fine wine or a high-quality guitar, improve with age. All Chris King bearings can be serviced without special tools. Simply remove the retaining ring and seal, clean the bearing and re-lubricate it for a lifetime of reliable rolling.

BSA threaded bottom bracket cups
The BSA bottom bracket shells have a width of 68–73 mm and a 1.370 × 24 TPI thread, with an outer diameter of 33.6–33.9 mm, into which the bearing cups are screwed. Both bearing cups are screwed in the direction of travel. The different shell widths are accommodated using the washers included in the delivery.
SRAM DUB crank axles 29 mm:
SRAM has developed its own axle standard for DUB cranksets. SRAM DUB cranksets have an axle diameter of 29 mm and are only compatible with internal bearings for DUB cranksets.
30 mm crank axles:
Cranks with a through-axle of 30 mm are offered by various manufacturers, e.g. the Cane Creek eeWings, FSA BB386EVO, e*thriteen, Race Face Cinch 30, Sram EVO 386, Rotor 30 and White Industries models. These crank axles are longer than those of BB30 cranks and can therefore also be fitted to frames with bottom bracket shells 79–92 mm wide.
