Cane Creek Hellbender 70 bottom bracket, BB30, press-fit dimensions 42 mm x 68–73 mm, for SRAM DUB cranksets with a 29 mm axle
Cane Creek Hellbender 70 Bottom Bracket
The Hellbender 70 bottom bracket from Cane Creek, featuring 440C stainless steel bearings and threaded cup-to-cup construction, is perfect for equipping your bike with a high-quality bottom bracket. Unlike other press-fit bottom brackets, the cups are screwed together. This has the major advantage that the bottom bracket shell sits very securely and absolutely parallel within the frame. This reliably prevents the annoying creaking and squeaking associated with conventional press-fit bearings. The 440C stainless steel ball bearings and the bolted-together bearing cups guarantee a long bearing life and smooth pedalling.
BB30 bottom bracket shells:
BB30 bottom bracket shells have a width of 68–73 mm and a press-fit dimension of 42 mm for the bottom bracket. The 68 mm installation dimension is compatible with road bike and MTB cranksets, whilst the 73 mm installation dimension is compatible only with MTB cranksets.
Sram DUB crank axles 29 mm:
SRAM has developed its own axle standard for DUB cranks. SRAM DUB cranks have an axle diameter of 29 mm and are only compatible with bottom brackets designed for DUB cranks.
