SRAM DoubleTap:
DoubleTap is SRAM’s key technology for mechanical shift-brake levers, replacing traditional technology. The SRAM Apex features a brake lever that brakes and a shift lever that shifts. The advantages of DoubleTap There is only one direction of movement. To shift up, a short tap is sufficient. To shift to a lower gear, simply push the lever further. The almost linear movement of the DoubleTap levers offers a further advantage. The shift lever can be operated from virtually any grip position.
Sram ErgoDynamics:
Thanks to longer brake levers, independent reach adjustment for brake and shift levers, and an optimised lever shape, the levers are comfortable and easy to reach for riders of all sizes.
SRAM ZeroLoss:
ZeroLoss stands for zero loss. When you operate the shifter to change up or down a gear, the cable is released immediately, ensuring zero loss of movement. There is no more idle time whilst you wait for the gear to engage. The gear change is immediate and precise.
Flat Mount Standard:
The Flat Mount caliper standard for road bike brakes reduces weight and offers a significantly sleeker look. With the Flat Mount standard, the rear caliper sits directly on the chainstay; no adapter is required to mount the caliper with a 140 mm disc size. The bolts pass through the chainstay from below directly into the brake caliper. A flat adapter is still required on the fork. The adapter is screwed onto the rear of the fork leg, with the brake sitting directly on the adapter. The adapter is suitable for 140 and 160 mm discs. The maximum brake disc size for Flat Mount installation is 160 mm
