Ergon GC1 Rohloff-Nexus handlebar grips

The handles in Ergon’s GC1 series offer lasting comfort for touring cyclists who prefer rear-curved handlebars. They feature all the ergonomic benefits of the GP series – the global benchmark for wing grips – and, in the BioKork version, also offer a unique grip feel. Here in the version for handlebars with single-sided twist shifters, such as those from Rohloff or Nexus.

Ergon BioKork:

Ergon’s BioKork offers the best possible ergonomics for hands and wrists. Cork is naturally antibacterial, hypoallergenic and therefore particularly skin-friendly. It has excellent shock-absorbing properties and is very light due to its low density. The grip body consists of 40 per cent cork. It comes from certified organic cultivation in Portugal and meets strict ecological guidelines. All parts of the handle are manufactured with a consistent focus on environmental sustainability. In the inner support, 40 per cent of the plastic is replaced by grass fibres. In the palm rest, mineral oil has been replaced by renewable vegetable oils. The grip clamp is made from 10 per cent recyclable aluminium. The BioKork grip is the result of the Ergon Initiative GreenLab. A forged aluminium clamping ring ensures quick and twist-proof installation. The individual palm rest angle can be adjusted simply by turning the grip.
