This has been achieved through more efficient use of materials, with excess material removed to save weight. At the same time, the strength, durability and flexibility of the original Fatbar Carbon have been retained.

The Renthal Fatbar Carbon has already achieved cult status as a World Cup downhill handlebar. Three overall World Cup victories and the World Championship gold medal were won with the Fatbar Carbon, making it one of the most successful racing products of all time.

The Fatbar Carbon features a UD (unidirectional) carbon construction. The efficient placement and orientation of the unidirectional carbon fibres maximises strength and optimises the handlebar’s stiffness.

A full 800mm width with 7° back sweep and 5° up sweep provide the perfect geometry for downhill racing. Four rise options allow you to adapt the handlebar to your height, riding style and bike setup.

The clamp area of the handlebar features a rough coating that guarantees absolute security against twisting. Impact resistance is extremely important for a downhill racing handlebar. For this reason, the Fatbar 35 was developed to significantly exceed the EN BMX crash test standards.
