Chris King quality:
Anyone who hears the name Chris King immediately thinks of extremely durable headsets. Produced by Chris King in Portland, Oregon, USA, to a standard of quality that rightly deserves the label ‘indestructible’. The benchmark in headsets – often copied, never equalled – which is why there is a 10-year warranty.
Chris King GripLock:
The NoThreadSet headset with the newly developed GripLock cap. The multi-piece cap features a slotted cone ring, which allows for an even easier connection between the steerer tube and head tube
Zero Stack 44/28.6 top mount dimensions:
Frame mount 44 mm diameter, 9.5 mm installation depth, steerer tube diameter 28.6 mm
Zero Stack 56/40 mm bottom stack:
Frame mount 56 mm diameter, 11 mm installation depth, steerer tube diameter 40 mm, fork taper 40 mm
Headset installation:
The installation of headsets requires frames and fork taper seats that have been prepared to fit precisely. The headset seat in the frame must be absolutely parallel. Special milling tools are available for this purpose.
Even the best headsets will not function properly if fitted incorrectly and will break very quickly as the ball bearings will not run exactly parallel.
