Cross-country is constantly evolving. The descents are becoming steeper, the climbs more technical, and artificial obstacles such as rock gardens, banked turns and drops place significantly greater demands on both rider and equipment.
The F 232 ONE was developed precisely for these challenges. Its optimised construction sets new standards in the stiffness-to-weight ratio. The internal components have also been specifically developed for cross-country. The LINEAIR spring curve, in combination with the three-stage INCONTROL damping, makes the F 232 ONE ready for the chase – whether for titles or personal bests.

DT Swiss LineAir suspension system:
The LINEAIR system consists of a bypass located in the air chamber. The bypass ensures that the pressure in the negative air chamber is higher than in the positive air chamber when the fork is fully compressed. This minimises the breakaway force. The damping, optimised for cross-country use with low breakaway force and early damping, allows for controlled gliding over root trails. Subsequently, the damping increases linearly in the mid-range and reaches a steep progression curve in the end range for strong compression without bottoming out. This is achieved by a suspension system comprising air chambers, in which, when fully compressed, the pressure in the negative air chamber is higher than in the positive air chamber.
LINEAIR is a dual-air-chamber suspension system. The size of the air chambers and the position of the bypass ensure that the suspension characteristics are specifically tailored to the needs of XC riders. A low breakaway force for traction, a linear but flat mid-range that allows you to float over root-covered sections, and end-stage progression to absorb higher forces.
DT Swiss Incontroll O.D.L Damping:
Efficient power transfer is essential in cross-country. The energy expended should be converted into forward momentum and not lost. With Incontrol, DT Swiss offers three compression damping settings adjustable whilst riding, which always provide the right balance between forward momentum and traction. For long gravel climbs, steep uphill trails and rough singletrack. In OPEN mode, INCONTROL offers low compression damping for ultimate traction. The higher compression damping of DRIVE mode creates a pedal platform that guarantees efficient propulsion on the trails. LOCK mode locks the fork, ensuring no energy is wasted when approaching your favourite trail.
- OPEN mode: ideal for riding on rough, rocky terrain. The suspension works across the full travel range and offers complete control in demanding riding situations.
- Drive mode: Perfect for flat, smooth roads and for racing-style riding on both ascents and descents. The chassis is stiff, the suspension operates in Platform mode and offers maximum efficiency during fast-paced manoeuvres.
- Lockout mode: Ideal for tarmac transitions and sprints. Damping is locked out, enabling optimal pedalling efficiency, whilst the integrated air release function handles unexpected bumps.
DT Swiss APT air chamber:
The APT (Adaptable Progression Tune) system allows the progression of the suspension curve to be adjusted by simply adding or removing one or more volume spacers in the suspension fork’s air chamber. This enables the rider to tailor the suspension curve to their riding style and the trails they ride. The key feature here is that the responsiveness remains equally sensitive regardless of the chosen setup. The suspension fork is supplied with two volume spacers already fitted. An additional volume spacer is included in the scope of delivery for personal customisation.
