Fast sprints, rough descents and high-speed singletrack – that’s what the SidLuxe Ultimate is made for. Its XC suspension with two 3P positions offers you a rock-hard lockout position for starts and sprints, a pedal and platform position, and an open position with a lighter compression setting for fast descents. The SIDLuxe is the only super-light rear shock that can keep up with your favourite SID suspension fork.

Trunnion shock mount:

On frames with this shock mount, the shock head is bolted directly to the frame; only the shaft has the classic eye for mounting the shock bushing. This mount allows for a more compact design. The frame must be designed for this. These shocks are not compatible with standard frames.

PLEASE NOTE: To fit a shock, mounting bushings are required to adapt to the specific frame. We offer these bushings separately. Please ensure that the bushings fit exactly. If possible, determine the required measurement using a caliper.

The SIDLuxe is the only rear shock capable of keeping up with the pace of a World Cup cross-country race. When unexpected impacts catch you off guard, the new high-speed compression stage reacts faster than you can.

SRAM has increased the oil flow so that the compression stage can open more quickly in the event of unexpected turbulence. This responsive high-speed compression stage is active in both the Open and Pedal positions. Focus on chasing the rider ahead on the trail and don’t worry about your rear shock settings.

A higher oil flow rate requires greater bottom-out protection. SRAM has introduced a taller, tapered bottom-out bumper that offers greater forgiveness at full travel. For an endless feel that provides more control in the chaos.

The new cross-country and marathon shock, the SidLuxe Ultimate RLR, features butter-smooth response thanks to hydraulic floating piston damping and progressive tuning at the end of the travel. With fully usable travel, the SidLuxe Ultimate offers perfect grip on even the most technical trails. Despite its slim design, the shock chassis offers the necessary durability and adjustability to tackle gruelling cross-country routes and the steepest climbs. The RockShox air shock features externally adjustable rebound, 2-stage compression adjustment and Solo Air suspension.

RockShox settings:

The standard version of the RockShox SidLuxe shock is only available with R85 rebound and C30 compression settings. This version of the shock has a constant spring rate with strong end-stroke progression and is suitable for most frames. Please check with your frame manufacturer for the recommended version. The lockout stiffness is X8

RockShox Dual Flow:

The SidLuxe’s Dual Flow rebound technology uses two independent circuits to control rebound sensitivity for large and small impacts. The external rebound adjustment allows you to set the rebound speed for smaller impacts. A factory-preset setup controls the rebound for large impacts that need to be dampened. This ensures the shock is ready for everything the rider encounters in everyday cycling and on the trails.

RockShox SoloAir:

With the air suspension, you can adjust the RockShox Sid Ultimate perfectly to your weight and preferred response. The air volume is regulated via a valve in both the negative and positive air chambers. The ideal solution for cross-country and marathon use.

RockShox Counter Measure:

Counter Measure technology reduces the shock’s breakaway torque to practically zero. This ensures that even the smallest bumps are absorbed and provides perfect traction.

RockShox Metric Sizing:

Metric Sizing enables suspension and frame manufacturers to significantly simplify the sizing and installation of shock absorbers. At the same time, it offers performance benefits for suspension and frame designs. It also allows for simpler mounting hardware with new mounting options.
