RockShox Vivid Ultimate Air DH rear shock | RS-VIVD-ULT-D1
The DH version without LockOut, the new high-end rear shock for DH, gravel and e-bikes, RockShox Vivid Ultimate Air DH D1, from the Signature series with the new Linear XL air spring, RC2 damping and hydraulic Adjust Bottom-Out.
- NEW The Linear XL air spring offers balanced ride characteristics, which can be further fine-tuned using the easy-to-swap bottomless tokens.
- NEW The RC2 damping offers a wide range of adjustment for low-speed compression (LSC) and high-speed compression (HSC) – without them affecting each other.
- NEW Numbered compression adjuster for an even more intuitive setup – start at 0 and simply increase (+) or decrease (-) the damping.
- NEW Base Valve with 40% less influence from the IFP piston, making the Vivid Coil the most responsive and traction-rich shock on the market.
- NEW Compression tuning of the primary piston with a focus on mid-stroke support, functionally modelled on the performance of the Charger 3.2 damping. - The adjustable bottom-out (ABO) offers a practical control with five different compression settings to fine-tune the final 20% of travel. - Removable rebound adjuster that also serves to adjust the HSC and ABO.
- With 20 clicks in the rebound adjustment and consistent rebound curves, it offers a wide range of settings, enabling a broad spectrum of riders to achieve a consistent riding feel.

RockShox Vivid Ultimate RS-VIVD-ULT-D1
Proven in the World Cup and built to deliver – the Vivid Ultimate is the new standard in DH performance. The all-new LinearXL air spring offers a ride feel similar to a coil spring – responsive at the start, with plenty of support in the mid-stroke and adjustable bottom-out protection (ABO) for reliable control at the end of the travel – tuned and predictable. The RC2 damping, with its new primary piston compression tuning, is designed to harmonise perfectly with the Charger 3.2 damping on your suspension fork. It offers mid-stroke support, whilst the intuitively adjustable HSC/LSC controls make setup quick and straightforward. Bigger, more aggressive and ready to push the limits on your enduro, e-MTB and downhill bike – the Vivid Ultimate redefines what a rear shock is capable of.
Trunnion shock mount:
For shocks designated "shaft eyelet/body eyelet: Standard/Trunnion", the shock head is bolted directly to the frame; only the shaft features the classic eyelet for mounting the shock bushing. This mount allows for a more compact design. The frame must be designed to accommodate this. These shocks are not compatible with standard frames.
ATTENTION: To fit a shock, mounting bushings are required to adapt to the respective frame. We offer these bushings separately. Please ensure that the bushings fit exactly. If possible, determine the required dimension using a feeler gauge.
RockShox Bottom-Out:
The Vivid features adjustable hydraulic bottom-out, which increases compression damping in the final 20 per cent of travel. This is controlled individually via an adjustable dial with five different settings. How much damping it provides is entirely up to you. The key element is an adjustable dial with five different settings, allowing you to fine-tune the damping to your preference. Vivid’s AHBO allows for a wider range of rebound settings, enabling you to fine-tune it perfectly to the kinematics of different frames.
RockShox RC2:
Vivid’s all-new RC2 damping has been developed to work as a system with your suspension fork and its Charger 3.2 damping – delivering optimally matched mid-stroke support and silky-smooth performance. With its advanced Base Valve, which reduces IFP forces by 40%, it is the most responsive shock on the market, offering unbeatable traction without compromising on control.
The RC2 damping features a rebound adjustment, independent high- and low-speed compression settings, and an easily adjustable threshold lever for greater pedalling efficiency. RockShox has developed a rear shock that responds lightly at the start of the travel whilst remaining smooth in the middle and at the end of the stroke. The RC2 damping offers a sensitive and smooth response and remains stable and supportive throughout the entire travel. Furthermore, each phase of the suspension transitions seamlessly into the next. TouchDown technology bypasses the main piston’s compression damping in the first 10 per cent of travel, ensuring a smooth response. Vibration suppression is just the beginning. To tackle rough terrain, the next 70 per cent of the Vivid’s travel is damped by a controlled and stable compression stage. In addition to the adaptability of TouchDown technology, the adjustable hydraulic bottom-out allows you to tune the suspension for the hard impacts in the final 20 per cent of travel.
The rebound knob can be pulled out to reveal a 3 mm Allen screw, which can be used to adjust both the high-speed compression and the hydraulic bottom-out.
RockShox DebonAir+ LinearXL:
The new LinearXL air spring delivers a ride feel similar to a steel spring: responsive, supportive in the mid-travel range and with an adjustable bottom-out for maximum safety on hard landings. An air spring that covers it all. The new DebonAir+ Linear XL air spring is our new secret weapon when it comes to air shocks. Riders have repeatedly asked for an air chamber that bridges the gap between the Super Deluxe and the Vivid. The Linear XL air chamber is the answer. With an increased positive chamber volume, the Linear XL offers the rider a super-smooth response at the start of the travel. But this improved air chamber makes no compromises when it comes to tuning either. With space for up to eight bottomless tokens in total (four in the main chamber and four on the outer air chamber), the air volume can be adjusted entirely to suit your own preferences. The result is consistently predictable performance on long descents and demanding trails.
