Tyre: Maxxis Ardent Race

The Ardent Race bridges the gap between the Ikon and the Ardent, between a fast XC tyre and a trail tyre. Its tread pattern is medium-height; whilst the centre knobs are closely spaced, they leave enough space for good self-cleaning and are bevelled to reduce rolling resistance. The side knobs are angled and staggered, biting into the ground in corners. This makes the Ardent Race the right tyre for all-round use and on the trails.

3C MaxxGrip

Maxxis’ fastest 3C compound for XC and some All-Mountain/Enduro tyres is designed for minimal rolling resistance thanks to the hard base and fast compound in the centre of the tread, but also offers superior grip in corners – even in wet conditions – thanks to the high-grip compound on the sides. Typical of MAXXIS is also the very long service life.

Exo Protection

This extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewalls of various MTB tyres. It is very densely woven, lightweight and highly flexible. As a result, the tyres’ performance remains consistently impressive.

Tubeless Ready, TR:

Tubeless tyres have many advantages: you can ride with lower air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And with no inner tube, the risk of punctures is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tyres are better prepared for fitting with sealant than other Tubeless Ready tyres. The bead of TR tyres is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a genuine UST tubeless tyre. This ensures that tubeless fitting on all rims of standard dimensions is successful from the very first inflation and with minimal sealant
