Pirelli Scorpion XC S LITE folding tyre

The Scorpion XC S in the LITE version has been specially developed for maximum speed, handling and riding feel.

The deep tread pattern, featuring the SmartGRIP rubber compound and widely spaced, solid knobs, grips effectively on all types of loose and soft terrain, from dry sand to sticky mud. The LITE carcass, with extra aramid fabric reinforcement at the tyre bead, stabilises the tyre on wide rims and when riding with low air pressure.

Pirelli SmartGRIP technology:

The SmartGRIP rubber compound, developed from Pirelli’s experience and victories in motocross and rally championships. It combines opposing characteristics: “Tear resistance for maximum mechanical grip and puncture resistance” and “Chemical grip on wet and dry terrain for uncompromising performance in all weather conditions”. The result is consistent performance throughout the tyre’s entire lifespan, even as the tread wears down.

The LITE carcass is a lightweight and supple carcass that maximises speed, handling and riding feel. The low weight ensures high performance output, achieved through a 120 tpi fabric construction without additional sidewall protection. Extra aramid fabric reinforcement at the tyre bead stabilises the tyre on wide rims and when riding with low tyre pressure. The result is a fast, precise and supple riding style without compromising on performance.
