Pirelli Scorpion Enduro R folding tyre

The Scorpion Enduro R stands for ‘Rear’ and is a special rear tyre model with tread blocks optimised for traction and braking grip. Together with the Scorpion Trail M on the front, the Scorpion Enduro R forms the perfect combination for anyone seeking a balanced setup. It offers greater puncture resistance and reliability than the ProWALL version.

The tyre tread, combined with the SmartGRIP rubber compound and widely spaced knobs, offers optimum grip without compromising on traction. The HardWALL carcass consists of specific fabric reinforcements, which significantly increase puncture resistance and improve handling during aggressive riding on wide rims and with low air pressure.

Pirelli SmartGRIP technology:

The SmartGRIP rubber compound is an advanced compound developed on the basis of experience gained in motorsport. This single-compound solution delivers consistently high grip performance on both wet and dry surfaces, even as the tread blocks begin to wear down.

Pirelli HardWALL technology:

The HardWALL carcass has been specially developed for trail and enduro use. It consists of a cut-resistant nylon fabric construction around the entire circumference of the tyre, which prevents penetration by sharp objects and increases puncture resistance. The fabric construction is combined with a specific rubber insert in the bead area, which prevents squishing and withstands the most aggressive riding styles. The tyre bead, reinforced with aramid fabric, stabilises the tyre on wide rims and when riding with low air pressure. The result is high reliability in terms of puncture resistance and a smooth feel for the ground.
