Continental Sprinter Gatorskin tubular tyre

Durable and puncture-resistant racing tyre, built to last for countless kilometres

The Conti Gatorskin has inherited the durable rubber compound with carbon black particles, the effective puncture protection layer and the Duraskin fabric. The Sprinter GatorSkin itself offers the typical smooth ride of tubular tyres. In a very similar combination, the pros ride Duraskin tyres in the Paris-Roubaix and other spring classics that are extremely hard on tyres.

Continental Dura Skin:

Tyres with DuraSkin sidewall protection need to be able to take a real beating. They are used in the most adverse conditions. On messenger bikes, the tyres slide along kerbs; on touring bikes, they traverse continents without tearing; in racing, they must pass endurance tests such as Paris-Roubaix. The high-quality polyamide fabric reliably protects the tyre’s sidewall and prepares the tyre for the most extreme conditions. These tyres stand out from the crowd thanks to their brown sidewalls.

Continental Safety System Breaker:

The SafetySystem Breaker consists of Kevlar-reinforced, high-strength nylon fabric. Puncture- and cut-resistant, yet lightweight and flexible, the tyre adapts better to the terrain. Without noticeably increasing weight or rolling resistance, it protects the carcass from foreign objects and contributes to the tyre’s long service life. Furthermore, tyres with SafetySystem Breaker offer particularly comfortable riding characteristics.
