The Cross Country wheels from the DT Swiss 1700 series. The Ratchet Star hubs, based on the DT Swiss 350 SL hubs, and the lightweight, welded, extra-light and sturdy rims give the XR1700 wheels outstanding acceleration performance. Designed for Cross Country and Marathon use, tyres up to 2.4” wide can be fitted. DT Swiss XR1700 Spline hubs:

DT Swiss straight-pull hub shells on the Spline wheelsets require minimal material, allowing them to be constructed to be lightweight yet stable. With the optimised hub body, specifically designed for extreme braking forces, and the reinforced flange, DT Swiss provides the perfect foundation for extremely stable MTB wheelsets.

DT Swiss Spline 1700 Boost 15x110 front hub:

The DT Swiss Spline Boost front hubs feature a wider hub body with spoke lugs and flange positioned further outwards. This makes these wheels even more laterally stiff and durable. Due to the wider hub design with a 110x15 mm thru-axle mount, they cannot be converted and are only compatible with Boost 15x110 mm forks.

DT Swiss Spline 1700 Boost rear hub:

The DT Swiss Spline Boost rear hubs feature a wider hub body with spoke holes and flanges positioned further outwards. This makes these wheels even more laterally stiff and durable. Due to the wider hub design with 148x12 mm thru-axle mount, these hubs cannot be fitted to frames with an X12x142 mm mounting dimension and are only compatible with Boost 12x148 mm or Boost 10x141 mm rear ends / frames

DT Swiss XR 1700 Spline rims:

Built for tough enduro use, the DT Swiss XR1700 offers excellent acceleration and high stability. The sturdy and lightweight rims are butt-welded. The rim profile is designed to ensure they remain stable yet lightweight. With a 25 mm rim width, tyres ranging from 2.0 to 2.4 inches in width can be fitted. The new rim spokes on the DT Swiss Spline rims are ideally designed for upgrading with a tubeless kit.

DT Swiss Ratchet Star Freehub Body System:

The Ratchet Star freehub body system operates with two ratchet discs. These ensure loss-free power transmission, extreme durability and virtually no play when pedalling. The freehub bodies can be fitted without tools. Freehub bodies are available for Shimano HG 8, 9 and 10-speed cassettes, Sram XD System Sram 11 and 12-speed SRam MTB XG cassettes and Shimano Micro Spline 12-speed MTB cassettes

DT Swiss Straight Pull Spokes:

To achieve an ideal balance between weight and stability, only the highest-quality straight-pull Competition spokes are used in Spline wheels. They are stiffer than conventional spokes yet can still be trued and replaced using standard tools. The straight-pull lacing method allows for precise placement and alignment of the spokes. This optimises wheel stiffness and eliminates any unwanted stress peaks.
