The Cross Country wheels from the DT Swiss 1700 series. Featuring Ratchet Star hubs based on the DT Swiss 350 SL hubs and lightweight, welded, extra-light and stable rims, the XR1700 wheels offer outstanding acceleration. DT Swiss 1700 Spline hubs:
The straight-pull hub shells of the DT Swiss Spline wheelsets require minimal material, allowing them to be constructed to be lightweight yet stable. With the optimised hub body, specifically designed for extreme braking forces, and the reinforced flange, DT Swiss provides the perfect foundation for extremely stable All Mountain, Enduro and FR wheelsets.
DT Swiss Spline 1700 Boost 15x110 front hub:
The DT Swiss Spline Boost front hubs feature a wider hub body with spoke lugs and flange positioned further outwards. This makes these wheels even more laterally stiff and durable. Due to the wider hub design with a 110x15 mm thru-axle mount, they cannot be converted and are only compatible with Boost 15x110 mm forks.
DT Swiss XR 1700 Spline rims:
Designed for cross-country use, the DT Swiss XR1700 offers excellent acceleration, low weight and high stability. The sturdy and lightweight rims are butt-welded. The rim profile is designed to ensure they remain stable yet lightweight. With a 25 mm rim width, tyres ranging from 2.0 to 2.4 inches in width can be fitted. The new rim spokes on the DT Swiss Spline rims are ideally designed for upgrading with a tubeless kit.
DT Swiss Star Ratchet EXP System:
The proven DT Swiss Star Ratchet System, now in the new EXP version with a toothed freewheel body, allows for easy conversion to various axle or rotor standards. The DT Swiss Ratchet Star EXP rear hubs can be easily converted to fit standard axle standards. The new end caps offer an even more precise fit. Thanks to a larger bearing spacing, the EXP hubs are even more stable than their already excellent predecessor models.
DT Swiss Straight Pull Spokes:
To achieve an ideal balance between weight and stability, only the highest-quality straight-pull Competition spokes are used in Spline wheelsets. They are stiffer than conventional spokes yet can still be trued and replaced using standard tools. The straight-pull lacing allows for precise placement and alignment of the spokes. This optimises the wheel’s stiffness and eliminates any unwanted stress peaks.
