DT Swiss HXC 1501 SPLINE® ONE
The HXC 1501 SPLINE ONE combines all the features a modern e-bike and enduro rider could wish for. The carbon rims with a 30 mm rim width offer the precision needed to confidently hit even the trickiest lines, whilst a reliable 240 hub with the new RATCHET EXP freehub mechanism transfers pedalling power effectively to the trail. The components are held together by high-performance, weight-optimised Competition Race straight-pull
DT Swiss HCX 1501 Spline One 30 straight-pull spokes, with a 35 mm rim width and a total weight of just 1889 grams for the wheelset, are lightweight yet sturdy enough for e-bike freeride and enduro use. Thanks to the high-end Hybrid EXP OS hubs with rust-proof ball bearings and the lightweight carbon rims, the HXC 1501 Spline Hybrid wheels offer excellent acceleration. The legendary reliability of the Ratchet System hub and the straight-pull spokes combine to form the perfect competition wheel.
DT Swiss EXP 240 OS hubs:
The DT Swiss 1501 wheelset series features the 240 EXP hubs. The DT Swiss 240 EXP straight-pull hubs offer minimal weight combined with exceptional durability. The new axle system, with 15 per cent more support width, increases hub stiffness. The EXP feature in the DT Swiss 240 hubs involves the integration of the gear ring and threaded ring, which reduces the number of components and thus lowers the weight. A single coil spring ensures faster, complete engagement and therefore greater reliability. The complete interlocking of the spline rings creates a large contact surface and thus low point loads, resulting in superior reliability. The stainless steel ball bearings have proven to be extremely reliable and durable since the introduction of the 240 hubs. The patented freehub body works with spline rings that interlock. This guarantees loss-free power transmission.
DT Swiss Spline Hybrid Boost 15x110 front hub:
The DT Swiss Boost front hubs feature a wider hub body with spoke lugs and flange positioned further outwards. This makes these wheels even more laterally stiff and durable. Due to the wider hub design with 110x15 mm thru-axle mount, they cannot be converted and are only compatible with Boost 15x110 mm forks; convertible to Torque Caps
DT Swiss Spline 240 EXP OS Hybrid Boost 12x148 rear hub:
Designed for maximum durability. The hybrid version of the DT Swiss 240 EXP OS hub, featuring larger sprockets and significantly larger bearings, offers maximum durability. The DT Swiss Boost rear hubs have a wider hub body with spoke lugs and flange positioned further outwards. This makes these wheels even more laterally stiff and durable. Due to the wider hub design with a 148x12 mm thru-axle mount, these hubs cannot be fitted to frames with an X12x142 mm mounting dimension and are only compatible with Boost 12x148 mm and Boost 10x141 mm rear-end frames
DT Swiss HXC 1501 Spline Hybrid rims:
Carbon allows for the production of a wide rim with a 30 mm rim width, which provides ideal support for modern tyres, enables lower tyre pressure and thus reduces rolling resistance on rough surfaces. Thanks to the low moment of inertia of a carbon rim, the DT Spline 1501 Hybrid wheelsets offer rapid acceleration and precise handling. With an internal rim width of 30 mm, they are ideally suited for use from all-mountain to downhill riding with high-volume tyres. The rims of the HXC 1501 wheelsets are extra-reinforced and extremely stable. With an outer rim width of 35 mm, tyres ranging from 2.1 to 2.8 inches in width can be fitted. Thanks to new rim spokes, the DT Swiss Spline One rims are ideally designed for upgrading with a tubeless kit. DT Swiss has also developed new tubeless kits specifically for this purpose. These are included in the scope of delivery
Hookless TSS (Tubeless Straight Side) rims:
are characterised by their hookless rim profile. Unlike hooked rims, they do not have a mechanical interlock between the tyre bead and the rim flange. On hookless rims, the tyre is held in place solely by the tyre bead and the frictional forces between the tyre and the rim sidewall. On a hooked rim, the tyre is additionally secured by the mechanical interlock between the tyre bead and the rim flange. Hookless setups are more sensitive to potential deviations in system tolerances. It is therefore essential that all specifications regarding hookless compatibility provided by tyre and wheel manufacturers are followed. Adherence to the maximum tyre pressure and maximum inner rim width are crucial for the safe use of hookless rims. The maximum specifications for air pressure and inner rim width when fitting to hookless rims and hooked rims can be found on the tyre packaging.
DT Swiss EXP OS Ratchet Star Freehub Body System:
The EXP OS Ratchet Star freehub body system features two oversized ratchet discs, each with 30 teeth. This ensures loss-free power transmission, extreme durability and virtually no play when pedalling. The freehub bodies can be fitted without tools. The freehub bodies are available for classic 8–11-speed HG cassettes from Shimano and SRAM, for the SRAM XD system with SRAM 11- and 12-speed XG cassettes, and for 12-speed Shimano Micro Spline cassettes. The DT Swiss Star Ratchet System enables easy conversion to various axle or rotor standards.
DT Swiss Straightpull Hybrid2 spokes:
To achieve maximum stability, Spline wheelsets use DT Hybrid Straightpull spokes. They are more rigid than conventional spokes yet can still be trued and replaced using standard tools. The straightpull lacing allows for precise placement and alignment of the spokes. This optimises wheel stiffness and eliminates any unwanted stress peaks.
