The rear wheel featuring DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs in Standard, Boost and Super Boost versions, paired with tubeless-ready rims from DT Swiss. Hand-built in our specialist workshop.

We manufacture these wheels entirely by hand for you. Thanks to more than 30 years’ experience in wheel building, we get the very best in roundness, durability and stiffness out of the materials. These wheels are, of course, trued multiple times, and we also pre-load the spokes in the longitudinal direction. This eliminates the need for re-truing over a long period of time.

These wheels are made specifically for you, which is why we cannot offer a right of return for them.

With the DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs, minimal weight combined with extremely good durability is something of a rarity, particularly in hub construction. The new axle system, with 15 per cent more support width, increases hub stiffness. The ‘EXP’ in the DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs stands for the integration of the gear ring and threaded ring, which reduces the number of components and thus the weight. A single cylinder spring ensures faster, complete engagement and thus greater reliability. The complete interlocking of the toothed discs creates a large contact surface and thus low point loads, resulting in superior reliability. The stainless steel ball bearings have proven to be extremely reliable and durable since the introduction of the 240 hubs. The patented freehub body features interlocking ratchet discs. This guarantees loss-free power transmission. Straightpull refers to straight, non-offset spokes. Thanks to this technology, it is possible to achieve an ideal balance between weight and stability.

DT Swiss Star Ratchet EXP System:

The tried-and-tested DT Swiss Star Ratchet System, in its new EXP version with the toothed disc freehub body, allows for easy conversion to various rotor standards.

DT Swiss tubeless-ready rims:

The new generation of DT Swiss rims, featuring an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio and a new rim design. These rims are supplied with DT Squorx Pro Head nipples and must only be laced using these nipples and washers. The DT Swiss XR 331, XM 401 and EX 475 rims are equipped with specially adapted rim flanges for tubeless tape and can be easily upgraded to lightweight tubeless rims using DT Swiss tubeless tape
