The extra-sturdy 27.5-inch wheelset for hard MTB, enduro and freeride use, featuring robust DT Swiss 350 straight-pull hubs and DT Swiss EX 511 rims with a 30 mm rim width. Extremely sturdy, suitable for wide tyres and yet lightweight, from approx. 1800 grams

We offer the wheelsets with freehub bodies for Shimano or SRAM XD cassettes. The DT Swiss 350 hubs are available in both thru-axle and quick-release versions. The front hub is also available with a Boost thru-axle mount. For the front hubs, only the QR 15x100 mm hubs can be converted; the rear hubs can be converted to fit all standard mountings except Boost. The Boost hub in the selection cannot be converted; different hub bodies are required for this. A list of conversion options for axle mountings and freehub bodies can be found further down in the product description.

Wheel building at TNC-Hamburg:

We manufacture these wheels entirely by hand for you. Thanks to more than 30 years of experience in wheel building, we extract the optimum in concentricity, durability and stiffness from the material. These wheels are, of course, trued multiple times; we also pre-tension the spokes in the longitudinal direction. This eliminates the need for re-truing over a long period of time.

Hubs: DT Swiss 350 Disc 6-hole hubs

With the 350 hubs, DT Swiss offers affordable and technically high-quality hubs. From road bike to downhill versions, the 350 hub range is designed for maximum durability. Equipped with high-quality seals and bearings, they are the choice if you are looking for hubs for long-lasting and low-maintenance wheels. The DT 350 rear hubs are also fitted with DT’s patented Ratchet Star freehub system. Two toothed discs mesh together to guarantee loss-free power transmission. Thanks to the raised hub flanges, the DT Swiss 350 hubs provide wheelsets with excellent lateral stiffness and durability.

DT Swiss Straightpull:

• Straight-pull spoke positioning: Straight-pull lacing allows for precise placement and alignment of the spokes. This optimises wheel stiffness and eliminates any unwanted stress peaks.
• Straightpull hub shell: DT Swiss straight pull hub shells require minimal material, allowing them to be constructed to be lightweight yet stable.
• Straightpull lacing pattern: with a crossed lacing pattern, the spoke anchoring is designed so that the forces introduced almost cancel each other out. This increases the precision of the bearing race and further extends the service life of the ball bearings.

DT Competition spokes:

The double cold-forged spoke made from rust-resistant 18/10 chrome-nickel steel with a tapered middle section for robust, lightweight wheels. We recommend these spokes for virtually all wheels. Extremely durable and sufficiently lightweight, DT Competition spokes enable wheel building at the highest level. Thanks to the taper in the middle section, the spokes absorb movements in the wheel excellently, without compromising on lateral stiffness and durability. Weight with nipple approx. 7 grams

DT Swiss Aero Comp spokes

This spoke is first cold-forged in the middle section to make it lighter and stronger. In a further complex process, it is flat-forged to optimise aerodynamic properties whilst increasing material strength. The DT Aero Comp guarantees a balanced ratio of stiffness, aerodynamics and durability. This spoke fits hubs with standard bore holes.

DT Swiss EX 511 Rim

The 35 mm wide Enduro rim from DT Swiss, the EX 511 with a 30 mm rim width. Designed for wide Enduro tyres, the DT EX 511 rim offers very high stability whilst weighing just 535 grams. Thanks to extensive FEM analyses, DT Swiss EX 511 rims feature material only where it is actually needed. These rims are supplied with special DT Squorx Pro Head nipples and PHR washers and must only be laced using these nipples. With the wide EX 511 rim, DT Swiss offers a rim for stable Enduro wheelsets with really wide tyres. Cleanly finished, with a welded bead and stainless steel eyelets, the DT offers high stability at a low weight

DT Swiss Squorx Pro Head spoke nipples:

The DT Squorx Pro Head nipple combines ease of installation, light weight and optimal performance in a single product. The Torx head makes lacing flat spokes a breeze. The spherical contact surface ensures perfect alignment with the spoke, whilst the square section allows for easy re-centring using standard tools whilst the tyre is fitted. With the XM 551 rims, these nipples are included in the scope of delivery, along with a washer that is fitted between the nipple and the rim bed. This ensures even pressure distribution and long-lasting durability
