The Crosstrail SL Carbon, featuring the new rim in UD2 carbon construction, makes it the strongest carbon trail wheel in its segment. Its dynamic design and exceptional durability ensure a unique riding experience.

Mavic Crosstrail SL Carbon Application:

Torque Caps:

The wheel mount on many current RockShox suspension forks is designed for Torque Cups. These provide a significantly larger contact surface for the hubs and thus greater stiffness in the suspension fork/wheel system. The Torque Cups have a diameter of 31 mm, whereas standard cups are 22 mm.

Mavic Crosstrail SL Boost 12x148mm rear wheel:

The rear hub features a 148x12 mm Boost thru-axle mount. These Boost rear wheels are only compatible with frames featuring Boost thru-axles.

Mavic Crosstrail SL Carbon

Thanks to the lightweight carbon rim, which makes no compromises on strength, the Crosstrail SL Carbon significantly reduces inertia, ensuring better acceleration and greater control. The steel spokes, developed by our teams at the foot of the French Alps, are also lighter and improve vertical compliance and control for greater safety on uneven terrain. The new Infinity hub with 28 steel spokes provides high lateral stiffness and thus optimal stability in tight corners. You’ll love dancing on the trails.

As with all Mavic wheels, durability and repairability are top priorities on the Crosstrail SL Carbon 29. The reliable ID360 freehub and the tubeless system for easy tyre fitting save time and energy when maintaining your wheels.

Mavic Crosstrail SL Carbon Rim:

The Adaptive Lay Up saves 70 g on the rim alone. Unlike other wheels with a uniform profile, this exclusive lay-up technique allows the carbon thickness to vary locally, depending on the varying demands placed on the wheel. Specifically, less material is used between the spokes; conversely, the rim is reinforced at the spoke holes where the stresses are highest. All this without ever compromising the stiffness and strength of the wheel for dynamic riding

Mavic Infinity Hub:

The MTB version is only available for Boost standard 12x148 mm frames and 15x110 mm forks. Infinity technology impresses with its weight-saving construction, optimal lacing – contact-free straight-pull spokes with uniform spoke length for consistent spoke tension – and the proven Instant Drive 360 freehub system. The precision CNC-machined hub bodies ensure optimised spoke angles and reduced asymmetry – resulting in stable, stiff and durable wheels. Large-dimensioned industrial bearings with minimal play ensure smooth, long-lasting operation. Mavic’s QRM Auto system with automatic bearing preload guarantees smooth bearing operation and perfectly adjusted bearing play without any adjustment effort. Developed, designed and tested in France. CNC-machined in Europe.

Mavic Instant Drive 360 Freehub Body

The Instant Drive 360 freehub system is super-light and ensures rapid power transfer with a mere 9-degree engagement angle. A large, non-contact rubber seal reduces friction. And a wide selection of axle stubs ensures compatibility with many mounting standards. The oversized aluminium axle and hardened aluminium freehub body save 40 g. Two pawls ensure fast and loss-free engagement. A radial seal guarantees low friction at high speeds and perfect water resistance. This freehub body is easy to convert and is available as an HG10 version for Shimano 8-11-speed / Sram 8-10-speed, Sram XD 11- and 12-speed, and Shimano 12-speed Micro Spline.
