Wheel building at TNC-Hamburg:
We hand-build these wheels exclusively for you. Thanks to over 30 years’ experience in wheel building, we extract the optimum in concentricity, durability and stiffness from the materials. These wheels are, of course, pre-tensioned multiple times; we also pre-load the spokes in both the radial and lateral directions. This eliminates the need for re-truing over a long period of time. We use DT Swiss spokes exclusively. These ensure outstanding durability of the wheels. For DH and Enduro use, we recommend brass nipples.
These wheelsets are made to order specifically for you, which is why we cannot offer a right of return for them. We do not offer cash on delivery for these wheelsets.

Schmidt SONdelux hub dynamo
The SonDelux hub dynamo offers excellent smooth running and high efficiency, and is the ideal complement to Schmidt’s Edelux lamps, as the SonDelux has particularly low power loss yet still produces plenty of light at low speeds.
Thanks to its reduced flange spacing and diameter, it is barely more noticeable than a standard hub dynamo. The SonDelux is the successor to the classic SON. Naturally, like all SON models, it is manufactured with the AWS pressure equalisation system. Weighing 390g, it is one of the lightest hub dynamos in the world. It is approved for tandem use with radial lacing. The SonDelux dynamo is approved under the StVZO for wheel diameters ranging from 16 inches to 29 inches.
The Mavic CXP 33 road bike rim, with its profile height of a good 23 mm, literally cuts through the wind. At the same time, the Maxtal aluminium alloy saves weight. The SUP-welded and eyeleted Mavic CXP 33 is also exceptionally stable and durable. Successful aerodynamics with top performance from Mavic.
DT Swiss Competition spokes
The double cold-forged spoke made from rust-resistant 18/10 chrome-nickel steel with a tapered middle section for robust, lightweight wheelsets. We recommend these spokes for virtually all wheelsets. Extremely durable and sufficiently lightweight, the DT Competition spokes enable wheel building at the highest level. Thanks to the tapered middle section, the spokes absorb movements in the wheel exceptionally well, without compromising on lateral stiffness or long-term durability.
DT Swiss spoke nipples
We offer wheelsets with standard DT Swiss brass nipples and DT Swiss Pro Lock nipples. Want to increase the lifespan of a wheelset many times over? That’s only possible with DT Pro Lock! This nipple features an integrated thread-locking system, developed and manufactured by DT Swiss. The two-component adhesive in the nipple thread prevents the spoke-nipple connection from loosening under the influence of operational loads and the cycling of the wheel during riding, thereby ensuring constant spoke tension.
