Avid Ball Bearing 7 MTB Mechanical Disc Brake

The Avid BB mechanical disc brake for MTB and trekking use, compatible with all V-brake levers.

The ball bearing system of Avid brakes allows for low operating forces and long-lasting, consistent braking performance. The special pad adjustment knob enables quick, tool-free adjustment of the correct distance between the pad and the disc, even with worn brake pads. This option is not available with hydraulic brakes. In addition, mechanical disc brakes can be combined with Avid’s Speed Dial levers for perfect coordination.

Avid Tri-Align System

Avid’s Tri-Align Caliper Positioning System makes centring the brake caliper very easy. Simply loosen the bolts slightly, squeeze the brake lever and retighten the bolts. Perfect alignment of the brake caliper in no time at all.
