This lockring with external spline for the tool can be fitted to all hub types, from 20 mm thru-axles to quick-release assemblies

External spline lockring – external tool engagement: 44 mm outer diameter, 16-tooth spline. A Hollowtech II tool such as the Shimano TL-FC36, TL-FC32 or TL-FC33 is required to fit the Center-Lock lockring.
