Disc Brake Pads Magura MT MDP 8+ Green

Magura MDP Green pad compound, higher braking power, longer service life and reduced braking-in time, optimised for use on e-bikes.

The new MAGURA MDP 8+ BLACK/GREY and MDP 8+ GREEN Shim brake pads reduce potential braking noise and vibrations. An integrated shim acts as an insulator between the backing plate and the piston.

Due to their four individual pads, the Type 8 disc pads offer a firmer bite point than the Type 9 disc pads.

Running-in the brake pads:

During the bedding-in process, microscopic imperfections are filled in and the brake pad may release gases. This is the only way to achieve maximum friction, ensure even wear and eliminate the initial squeaking. It is important that the bedding-in process is not carried out too harshly or abruptly. Find a flat stretch of road with little traffic and accelerate to 25–30 km/h. Brake gently but firmly, stopping just short of a complete halt. We recommend 30 repetitions to achieve maximum braking torque. Repeat the bedding-in process regularly, depending on the road profile, to maintain optimal braking power.
