Formula Disc Adapter
The disc brake adapter for mounting 220 mm brake discs and disc brakes with post-mount calipers on forks or frames with Post Mount 8 disc mounts.
Formula disc brakes and almost all standard MTB disc brakes are fitted with Post Mount calipers. These are then attached to the fork or rear triangle using an adapter.
Compatible with all Formula disc brakes featuring Post Mount calipers. Includes 2 fixing bolts
The correct adapter for your frame and disc size. Currently, almost all frames use the IS 2000 standard and forks the PM6 standard.
IS 2000: Side mounting. An adapter is always required to fit the Formula disc brake; maximum 203 mm, minimum 160 mm on the fork and 140 mm disc size on the frame. Common on older suspension forks and almost all frame rear ends
Post Mount, PM5: Direct mounting of the Formula disc brake with 140 mm discs, without an adapter. Maximum 180 mm, minimum 140 mm disc size. Currently found only on rear triangle frames
Post Mount, PM6: Direct mounting of the Formula disc brake with 160 mm brake discs without an adapter. Maximum 203 mm, minimum 160 mm on the fork and 140 mm disc size on the frame. Currently the most common standard on forks, and on some rear triangle frames.
Post Mount, PM7: Direct mounting without an adapter for the Formula disc brake with 180mm brake discs. Maximum 203mm, minimum 180mm disc size. 140mm and 160mm disc sizes are not possible. Found on some enduro suspension forks such as the Magura Thor and on some rear triangle frames such as the Liteville 301.
Post Mount, PM8: Direct mounting without an adapter for Formula disc brakes with 203mm rotors. Can only be used with 203mm rotors. Found only on downhill suspension forks and frames
