Magura MT C4 disc brake set + MDR-P discs
This reliable disc brake for urban, everyday all-road and e-bikes, Magura CT 4 disc brake with 2-piston caliper, Carbotecture brake lever housing. The gear ratio and ergonomics of the MAGURA CT are perfectly tailored to the demands of city and all-road use. The completely newly developed axial sensor of the MAGURA CT features an enlarged reservoir, which reduces the build-up of air in the system and ensures long-term, flawless operation. The setup with durable and quiet SPORT brake pads underlines its reliability.
Optimised for e-bikes: Together with the MAGURA e-bike-optimised components, the CT is particularly well-suited for use on e-bikes. Higher speeds and the increased system weight of e-bikes also place greater strain on the brakes, leading to increased wear on the brake pads and discs. The quiet Magura Sport brake pads with a short bed-in period, as well as the reinforced MDR-P and MDR-C brake discs optimised for e-bikes, prevent premature wear and offer consistently reliable braking performance even on electrically assisted bicycles.
Recommended discs: Magura Storm HC L 160 / 180 / 203 mm; MDR-C 160 / 180 / 203 mm; MDR-P 180 / 203 mm
Magura CT 4 brake lever:
The CT4 brake levers with high-strength Carbontecture housing.
- Magura Carbotecture: A material newly developed by Magura, consisting of a high proportion of carbon fibres embedded in a thermoplastic matrix. More powerful, more tensile, more flexible and more fracture-resistant than conventional fibre-reinforced plastics or laminated carbon fibre mats. Ideally suited for processing using the Carboflow process.
- Magura Carboflow: A process newly developed by Magura that allows carbon fibres to be optimally aligned with the direction of stress. Produces homogeneous, predictable surfaces. Significant weight savings are possible, as there is no need for oversizing.
Magura CT 4 brake caliper:
The Magura CT4 twin-piston brake calipers, forged from a high-performance aluminium alloy with new magnetiXchange brake pistons for easy pad replacement.
- Forged 2-piston brake caliper with 2 brake pads
- Magura Anti-Squeal: The combination of a specially formulated brake pad compound and brake disc design counteracts noise during braking.
- Magura Anti-Drag: Newly developed sealing rings and an adapted piston design ensure that, even when used in sub-zero temperatures or extremely muddy conditions, the pistons always return to their original position and do not rub against the disc.
- Magura Anti-Heat: The entire MT brake caliper system is designed to dissipate heat quickly into the surrounding environment, preventing a drop in performance.
- Magura RHR: The new Magura brakes, MT8, MT6 and MT4, are factory-fitted with a swivelling hose outlet on the spoke side to prevent damage and allow for neat hose routing on various frame designs.
Magura Royal Blood:
Magura continues to rely on high-performance mineral oil as the brake fluid. It is completely harmless to health in the event of skin contact and, as it does not absorb water over time like DOT fluid, bleeding intervals are significantly longer. For optimal performance, bleeding is required every 6–12 months, depending on frequency of use.
Magura MDR-C brake disc
The Magura MDR-C brake discs for e-bike use. More is better: thanks to their solid construction, the MDR-C discs offer outstanding heat dissipation and are therefore perfectly suited for use on e-bikes. Naturally, they are also recommended if you are looking for ultra-stable discs for enduro and DH use. Also compatible with older Magura disc brakes.
Magura warranty:
Naturally, Magura also provides its well-known 5-year leak-proof guarantee for these new brakes.
