Running-in the brake pads:

During the bedding-in process, microscopic imperfections are filled in and the brake pad may release gases. This is the only way to achieve maximum friction, ensure even wear and eliminate the initial squeaking. It is important that the bedding-in process is not carried out too harshly or abruptly. Find a flat stretch of road with little traffic and accelerate to 25–30 km/h. Brake gently but firmly, stopping just short of a complete halt. We recommend 30 repetitions to achieve maximum braking torque. Repeat the bedding-in process regularly, depending on the road profile, to maintain optimum braking power.
