The new all-round disc brake, Magura Louise Elite, for e-bikes, gravel, trail and city use. The new 4-piston caliper allows the use of brake discs up to 2.0 mm thick, and the new EasyLink disc line system greatly simplifies maintenance and installation. The brake lever can be mounted on either the right or left side; the line length is always 220 cm

To ensure nothing grinds even after hundreds of kilometres, the seals and the machining in the caliper have been optimised. The result offers particularly reliable piston retraction compared to the MT5. Adjust your expectations, not your caliper.
Magura Louise Elite brake lever:
the brake levers with high-strength Carbotecture housing. The Magura MT brake levers can be mounted on either the right or left side. Magura Carbotecture, a material newly developed by Magura, consists of a high proportion of carbon fibres embedded in a thermoplastic matrix. More powerful, more tensile, more flexible and more fracture-resistant than conventional fibre-reinforced plastics or laminated carbon fibre mats. Ideally suited for processing in the Carboflow process.

The new one-piece Carbotecture IG clamp impresses with a clean look – without compromising on handling. Despite its one-piece design, it clips easily onto the handlebar without having to remove the grip. It is also compatible with our Shiftmix IG adapters, so you can mount the shift lever directly.
Magura Louise Elite brake caliper:
The new Magura Louise four-piston brake calipers are designed for brake discs up to 2.0 mm thick and forged from a high-performance aluminium alloy with magnetiXchange brake pistons for easy pad replacement.
- Forged 4-piston brake caliper with 4 brake pads
- Brake disc compatibility: 2.0 mm brake discs
- Magura Anti-Squeal: The combination of a specially formulated brake pad compound and brake disc design counteracts noise during braking.
- Magura Anti-Drag: Newly developed sealing rings and an adapted piston design ensure that, even when used in sub-zero temperatures or extremely muddy conditions, the pistons always return to their original position and do not rub against the disc.
- Magura Anti-Heat: The entire MT brake caliper system is designed to dissipate heat quickly into the surrounding environment, preventing a drop in performance.
- Magura RHR: The new Magura brakes come factory-fitted with a swivelling hose outlet on the spoke side to prevent damage and allow for neat hose routing on various frame designs.
Magura Royal Blood:
Magura continues to rely on high-performance mineral oil as the brake fluid. It is completely harmless to health in the event of skin contact and, as it does not absorb moisture over time like DOT fluid, bleeding intervals are significantly longer. For optimal performance, bleeding is required every 6–12 months, depending on frequency of use.

Naturally, Magura also provides the well-known 5-year leak-proof guarantee for the new brakes.
The Magura Louise Elite Disc is supplied with Post Mount 6 brake calipers.
You can select the appropriate adapter for your frame and brake disc size. Currently, almost all frames use the IS 2000 standard.
IS 2000: Side mounting. An adapter is always required to fit the Magura MT5; maximum 203 mm, minimum 160 mm at the fork and 140 mm disc size on the frame. Common on older suspension forks and almost all rear triangle frames
Post Mount, PM5: Direct mounting of the Magura MT5 with 140 mm brake discs, no adapter required. Maximum 180 mm, minimum 140 mm disc size. Currently only found on rear triangle frames
Post Mount, PM6: Direct mounting of the Magura MT5 with 160 mm brake discs without an adapter. Maximum 203 mm, minimum 160 mm on the fork and 140 mm disc size on the frame. Currently the most common standard on forks, and on some rear triangle frames.
Post Mount, PM7: Direct mounting of the Magura MT5 with 180mm brake discs without an adapter. Maximum 203mm, minimum 180mm disc size. 140mm and 160mm disc sizes are not possible. Found on some enduro suspension forks such as the Magura Thor and on some rear triangle frames such as the Liteville 301.
Post Mount, PM8: Direct mounting without an adapter for the Magura MT5 with 203mm brake discs. Can only be used with 203mm brake discs. Found only on downhill suspension forks and frames
