Magura MT5 Pro:

Braking performance doesn’t have to be difficult. Maximum braking power and stability in extreme conditions – that is the MT5’s motto. In tough enduro or downhill riding, the extra braking power provided by 4 brake pistons and their precise modulation means added safety.

The short-reach brake levers offer a particularly crisp bite point, popular with downhill and enduro riders. The bite point is adjusted using a Torx key. The high-performance brake with motorcycle braking technology for all-mountain to DH use.

Particularly low-maintenance – thanks to increased piston retraction, the MT5 is particularly low-maintenance in continuous use compared to the MT7 and can be fitted quickly without rubbing.

Magura MT 5 Pro HC 1-finger brake lever:

• Magura HC1 brake lever: the 1-finger HC lever has been ergonomically optimised. Thanks to its modified geometry, it can be positioned closer to the handlebars, resulting in greater comfort on long descents and increased control
• Magura Carbotecture: A material newly developed by Magura, consisting of a high proportion of carbon fibres embedded in a thermoplastic matrix. More powerful, more tensile, more flexible and more fracture-resistant than conventional fibre-reinforced plastics or laminated carbon fibre mats. Ideally suited for processing using the Carboflow process.
• Magura Carboflow: A process newly developed by Magura that allows carbon fibres to be optimally aligned with the direction of stress. Produces homogeneous, predictable surfaces. Significant weight savings are possible, as there is no need for oversizing.

Magura MT 5 brake caliper:

The Magura MT5 four-piston brake calipers, forged from a high-performance aluminium alloy with new magnetiXchange brake pistons for easy pad replacement.

• Magura Anti-Heat: The entire MT brake caliper system is designed to dissipate heat quickly into the surrounding environment, preventing a drop in performance.
• Magura RHR: The new Magura brakes, MT8, MT6 and MT4, come factory-fitted with a swivelling hose outlet on the spoke side to prevent damage and allow for neat hose routing on various frame designs.

Magura Royal Blood:

Magura continues to rely on high-performance mineral oil as the brake fluid. It is completely harmless to health in the event of skin contact and, as it does not absorb moisture over time like DOT fluid, bleeding intervals are significantly longer. For optimal performance, bleeding is required every 6–12 months, depending on frequency of use.

Magura MDR-S 2.0 brake disc:

The sturdy and stable Magura MDR-S brake disc, 2.0 mm thick, is designed for ambitious enduro and downhill riding and for safe performance in the city.

The MDR-S 2.0 offers high braking power and good heat resistance combined with moderate weight. A new friction ring design reduces vibrations during braking, making these the ideal brake discs for e-bike, DH and all-mountain use of Magura disc brakes under high loads. High stability, heat resistance and low wear are ensured by a special steel alloy and a more robust construction. The thickness of the Magura MDR-S 2.0 discs, at just 2 mm, ensures minimal pad wear and silent operation with maximum stability.

Particularly robust, these are the ideal brake discs for high-load applications of Magura disc brakes on e-bikes, downhill and all-mountain bikes. Their high stability, heat resistance and low wear are ensured by a special steel alloy and a more robust construction. The Magura Storm discs, just 2 mm thick, ensure minimal pad wear and a silent ride with maximum stability.

The Magura MT 5 Disc is supplied with Post Mount 6 brake calipers.

You can select the appropriate adapter for your frame and disc size. Currently, almost all frames use the Post Mount standard.

IS 2000: Side mounting. An adapter is always required to fit the Magura MT5; maximum 203 mm, minimum 160 mm on the fork and 140 mm disc size on the frame. Common on older suspension forks and almost all rear triangle frames

Post Mount, PM5: Direct mounting of the Magura MT5 with 140 mm brake discs without an adapter. Maximum 180 mm, minimum 140 mm disc size. Currently found only on rear triangle frames

Post Mount, PM6: Direct mounting of the Magura MT5 with 160 mm brake discs without an adapter. Maximum 203 mm, minimum 160 mm on the fork and 140 mm disc size on the frame. Currently the most common standard on forks, and on some rear triangle frames.

Post Mount, PM7: Direct mounting of the Magura MT5 with 180mm brake discs without an adapter. Maximum 203mm, minimum 180mm disc size. 140mm and 160mm disc sizes are not possible. Found on some enduro suspension forks such as the Magura Thor and on some rear triangle frames such as the Liteville 301.

Post Mount, PM8: Direct mounting without an adapter for the Magura MT5 with 203mm brake discs. Can only be used with 203mm brake discs. Found only on downhill suspension forks and frames
