Magura MT 7 Pro HC disc brake for front or rear wheel, black / mystic grey, without disc and adapter, fully pre-assembled

Magura MT7 Pro HC disc brake

The Magura MT 7 enduro and freeride disc brake with HC 1-finger brake levers, 4-piston caliper and Carbotecture SL lever housing. Very lightweight thanks to the aluminium brake lever and handlebar clamp. The high-performance brake for all-mountain to downhill use. ShiftMix handlebar clamps are available as an option for direct mounting of Sram or Shimano shift levers.

Braking performance doesn’t have to be heavy. Maximum braking power and stability in extreme conditions – that is the MT7’s motto. In tough enduro or downhill riding, the extra braking power provided by the 4-piston caliper and its precise modulation offer added safety. The tool-free adjustable brake levers provide the necessary ergonomics to keep the brakes perfectly under control, even on rough terrain and long descents.

Magura MT 7 brake lever:

the MT7 brake levers with HC brake lever and Carbontecture SL master cylinder housing. The Magura MT brake levers can be mounted on the right or left

  • Magura HC: the short version of the brake levers offers a particularly crisp bite point, popular with downhill and enduro riders. The bite point can be adjusted without tools
  • Magura Carbotecture SL: A material newly developed by Magura, consisting of a high proportion of carbon fibres embedded in a thermoplastic matrix. More powerful, more tensile, more flexible and more fracture-resistant than conventional fibre-reinforced plastics or laminated carbon fibre mats. Ideally suited for processing using the Carboflow process.
  • Magura Carboflow: A process newly developed by Magura that allows carbon fibres to be optimally aligned with the direction of stress. Produces homogeneous, predictable surfaces. Significant weight savings are possible, as there is no need for oversizing.
  • Magura Carbolay: The fibres of the lever are stitched onto a carrier matrix before being coated with resin and cured.

Magura MT 7 brake caliper:

The Magura MT7 four-piston brake calipers, forged from a high-performance aluminium alloy with new magnetiXchange brake pistons for easy pad replacement.

  • Forged 4-piston brake caliper with 4 brake pads
  • Magura MagneticXchange: the magnetic brake pistons make it easier to fit the brake pads
  • Magura Anti-Squelch: The combination of a specially formulated brake pad compound and brake disc design counteracts noise during braking.
  • Magura Anti-Drag: Newly developed sealing rings and an adapted piston design ensure that, even when used in sub-zero temperatures or extremely muddy conditions, the pistons always return to their original position and do not rub against the disc.
  • Magura Anti-Heat: The entire MT brake caliper system is designed to dissipate heat quickly into the surrounding environment, preventing a drop in performance.
  • Magura RHR: The new Magura brakes, MT8, MT6 and MT4, come factory-fitted with a swivelling hose outlet on the spoke side to prevent damage and allow for neat hose routing on various frame designs.

Magura Royal Blood:

Magura continues to rely on high-performance mineral oil as the brake fluid. It is completely harmless to health in the event of skin contact and, as it does not absorb water over time like DOT fluid, bleeding intervals are significantly longer. For optimal performance, bleeding is required every 6–12 months, depending on frequency of use.

Magura warranty:

Naturally, Magura also offers its well-known 5-year leak-proof guarantee for the new brakes.

Post Mount, PM5: Direct mounting of the Magura MT7 with 140 mm brake discs without an adapter. Maximum 180 mm, minimum 140 mm disc size. Currently only found on rear triangle frames

Post Mount, PM6: Direct mounting of the Magura MT7 with 160 mm brake discs without an adapter. Maximum 203 mm, minimum 160 mm on the fork and 140 mm disc size on the frame. Currently the most common standard on forks, and on some rear triangle frames.

Post Mount, PM7: Direct mounting of the Magura MT7 with 180mm brake discs without an adapter. Maximum 203mm, minimum 180mm disc size. 140mm and 160mm disc sizes are not possible. Found on some enduro suspension forks such as the Magura Thor and on some rear triangle frames such as the Liteville 301.
