The Shimano SLX Disc M7100 disc brake set for cross-country and marathon use, featuring 2-piston calipers and classic SM RT66 steel brake discs in sizes ranging from 160 to 220 mm.

Contents of Shimano SLX M7100 Disc Brake Set:

We offer the SLX disc brake as a disc set, comprising the SLX disc brake levers BL M7100 and brake caliper BR M7100, Shimano SMRT66 brake discs, including brake pads with SM-BH90-SBM brake hose. The necessary screws, washers and spare hose nipples for assembly are included in the scope of delivery.

These brakes are supplied without oil. The One-Way Bleeding Funnel TL-BR003 and SMDBOIL oil are required for bleeding.

Shimano Deore SLX brake lever BL M7100:

The SLX brake levers, featuring a 1.5-finger lever for ergonomic handling, are suitable for direct mounting with I-Spec EV shift levers. The free travel has been reduced, resulting in an even more direct response. The brake levers follow the design of the XTR brake levers and are also mounted at an angle rather than parallel to the handlebars, so that they are supported at a second point on the handlebars in addition to the clamp, making them significantly stiffer than before. For individual adjustment, the levers are equipped with a tool-free grip width adjustment and a dead-travel adjustment.

Shimano SLX BR M7100 brake caliper:

The brake calipers always feature the Post Mount caliper and a suitable adapter for the disc size and fork. The Deore SLX brakes are available both as XC-specific two-piston brakes and as four-piston brakes for trail/enduro.

Shimano I Spec EV:

The new I-Spec version of the Shimano XTR shifters and brakes offers a wide adjustment range, 14 mm laterally and 60 degrees of rotation, ensuring optimal shifter ergonomics. With the I-Spec EV version, the shifter can be mounted on XTR M9100/9120 brake levers in a space-saving manner. Furthermore, mounting via the new standard offers a 14-millimetre lateral adjustment range, and the shifter can also be rotated by 60 degrees. The new I-Spec EV version is not compatible with older brakes.

Shimano SLX SM RT70 brake disc

The classic steel brake disc from Shimano with a Centerlock mount. As all Shimano brake discs have the same thickness, you can also use these brake discs with the new Shimano disc brakes.

External locking ring:

This lockring, featuring external teeth for the tool, can be fitted to all hub types, from 20 mm thru-axles to quick-release assemblies

The Shimano SLX Disc is supplied with Post Mount 6 brake calipers.

IS 2000: Side-mounted. An adapter is always required to fit the brake; maximum 203 mm, minimum 160 mm on the fork and 140 mm disc size on the frame. Common on older suspension forks and almost all rear triangle frames

Post Mount, PM5: Direct mounting of the brake without an adapter, using 140 mm brake discs. Maximum 180 mm, minimum 140 mm disc size. Currently only found on rear triangle frames

Post Mount, PM6: Direct mounting of the brake with 160 mm brake discs without an adapter. Maximum 220 mm, minimum 160 mm on the fork and 140 mm disc size on the frame. Currently the most common standard on forks, and on some rear triangle frames.

Post Mount, PM7: Direct mounting of the brake with 180mm discs without an adapter. Maximum 220mm, minimum 180mm disc size. 140mm and 160mm disc sizes are not possible. Found on some enduro suspension forks such as the Magura Thor and on some rear triangle frames such as the Liteville 301.

Post Mount, PM8: Direct mounting of the brake without an adapter, using 203mm brake discs. Can only be used with 203mm and 220mm brake discs. Found only on downhill suspension forks and frames
