Magura MT Trail Sport Disc Brake Set
The outstanding braking performance of the MT5, combined with the lightweight construction technologies of the MT6, delivers the best possible trail performance. Weighing just 485 grams, the MT Trail Sport is the powerful brake for all-mountain to enduro use.
Braking performance doesn’t have to be heavy. Maximum braking power and stability in extreme conditions – that is the MT Trail Sport’s motto. In tough enduro or all-mountain riding, the extra braking power provided by the 4-piston front brake and its precise modulation offer added safety. The tool-free adjustable brake levers and the adjustable bite point provide the necessary ergonomics to keep the brakes perfectly under control, even on rough terrain and long descents.
Magura MT Trail Sport brake lever:
the MT Trail brake levers with Carbontecture Master housing. The Magura MT Trail Carbon brake levers can be mounted on the right or left
- Magura Carbotecture: A material newly developed by Magura, consisting of a high proportion of carbon fibres embedded in a thermoplastic matrix. More powerful, tensile, flexible and fracture-resistant than conventional fibre-reinforced plastics or laminated carbon fibre mats. Ideally suited for processing using the Carboflow process.
- Magura HC 1-finger brake lever: The ergonomics of the shorter 1-finger HC aluminium lever enable full braking power, safely with just one finger.
Magura MT Trail Sport brake caliper:
The four-piston and two-piston calipers of the Magura MT Trail Sport, forged from a high-performance aluminium alloy with new magnetiXchange brake pistons for easy pad replacement.
- Forged 4-piston front and 2-piston rear brake calipers with 4 brake pads
- Magura MagneticXchange: the magnetic brake pistons make it easier to fit the brake pads
- Magura Anti-Squeal: The combination of a specially formulated brake pad compound and brake disc design counteracts noise during braking.
- Magura Anti-Drag: Newly developed sealing rings and an adapted piston design ensure that, even when used in sub-zero temperatures or extremely muddy conditions, the pistons always return to their original position and do not rub against the disc.
- Magura Anti-Heat: The entire MT brake caliper system is designed to dissipate heat quickly into the surrounding environment, preventing a drop in performance.
- Magura RHR: The new Magura brakes, MT8, MT6 and MT4, come factory-fitted with a swivelling hose outlet on the spoke side to prevent damage and allow for neat hose routing on various frame designs.
Magura Royal Blood:
Magura continues to rely on high-performance mineral oil as the brake fluid. It is completely harmless to health in the event of skin contact and, as it does not absorb moisture over time like DOT fluid, bleeding intervals are significantly longer. For optimal performance, bleeding is required every 6–12 months, depending on frequency of use.
Magura Storm HC brake disc
Particularly robust, these are the ideal brake discs for DH to all-mountain use of Magura disc brakes under high loads. The high stability, heat resistance and low wear are ensured by a special steel alloy and the more solid construction. The thickness of the Magura Storm discs, at just 2 mm, ensures minimal pad wear and a quiet, smooth ride with maximum stability
Magura warranty:
Naturally, Magura also provides the well-known 5-year leak-proof guarantee for the new brakes.
