Shimano SLX HG81 cassette

With smaller gear steps on the crankset (24, 32, 42) and, optionally, a cassette with a 32-tooth sprocket as the largest cog. This allows Shimano to achieve a significantly smoother gear progression with consistent gear ratios.

Shimano has retained the tried-and-tested system of three large sprockets riveted to a spider in the current SLX cassette. However, the new cassettes are fitted with catch pins that prevent the chain from slipping between the spokes and the cassette.
