Shimano Linkglide:

The new Shimano Linkglide drivetrain components, designed for use on e-bikes, cargo bikes and everyday bikes. All components in the Linkglide series, such as the rear derailleur, shift levers, cassettes and chains, are specifically designed to meet the demands of e-bikes. These bikes generate significantly higher torque. Shimano Linkglide components are optimised for these loads and offer significantly greater durability.

Shimano Cassette CS-LG700:

The Shimano E-bike 11-speed cassette CS-LG700-11. Extremely durable, this cassette ensures long, trouble-free riding on your E-bike. The teeth are significantly more durable than standard cassettes and the shifters are tuned to the higher shear forces during gear changes. The optimised design of the LINKGLIDE shift guides ensures a smoother transition between the sprockets. This prevents jerks and an uneven pedalling feel. This design improvement is particularly noticeable when shifting up, as the shifting pressure is more noticeable due to the greater forces involved.

The durability of the drivetrain is of crucial importance for high-torque e-bikes and for everyday riders who ride in the same gear for months or years on end. LINKGLIDE enables smooth and fast shifting and lasts longer than ever before.

The redesigned LINKGLIDE cassette teeth feature a significantly thicker base and a unique chamfer, which drastically improves wear resistance in high-torque applications. This increase in cassette lifespan extends smooth operation and delays the onset of wear-related chain skipping.
