Race Face ERA Direct Mount Chainring

The Era chainring can last five times as long as a conventional aluminium chainring and costs barely twice as much. By combining three components made from the best materials, we have created a chainring with the weight of aluminium and the durability of steel. The Era is a chainring without compromise.

Race Face ERA chainring:

Exceptional durability. The Era chainring consists of three components, each made from the best material available. The teeth are made of stainless steel, which is more robust (and harder) than titanium and has a lifespan five times longer than aluminium.

Only the very best of everything. The interface between the crank and chainring is made of aluminium and has already proven itself on many Race Face chainrings. It is both lightweight and robust, and thanks to CINCH, different chainring sizes can be fitted with ease.

Tough Spider. The connecting element is the carbon spider, manufactured using our proprietary Compression and Co-Moulding process, as also used in our Era cranksets. This small spider can withstand many times the torque of a high-performance e-MTB. We’ve tested it.

The Race Face Narrow Wide Direct Mount chainrings have a 3 mm offset. As these are not directional, they can be fitted with the offset facing inwards or outwards. This extends or reduces the chainline by 5.5 mm. With Race Face cranksets, the chainline can be adjusted from 52 mm for rear dropouts with a 135 mm to 148 mm mounting width to 57.5 mm for rear dropouts with a 150 mm or 157 mm mounting width.

Race Face Narrow Wide:

The Narrow Wide profile of the Race Face Cinch Direct Mount chainring guarantees ultimate chain guidance without derailing. The chainrings are compatible with Race Face cranksets featuring the CINCH system. The chainring utilises the patented Race Face design and is manufactured from 7075-T6 aluminium.

Race Face Direct Mount System:

The Direct Mount chainrings can be changed quickly and easily using the lockring. Unfortunately, like all other manufacturers, Race Face has its own standard for Direct Mount chainring mounting. Consequently, only Race Face chainrings and spiders, or those from third-party manufacturers such as Wolf Tooth chainrings, are compatible with this specific mounting. With the spider (item no. F10017), it is also possible to fit the Turbine crankset with two chainrings.
