When using conventionally shaped chainrings, a rider must constantly adjust the force applied during a pedal revolution in order to maintain a constant acceleration. The non-circular shape of the O.Symetric chainrings is designed to counteract this. The special shape evens out the force required at different pedal positions, enabling a smoother pedalling motion. The result is a smoother pedalling motion, which reduces strain on the rider and frees up capacity for greater power output.
