TA Specialite chainring, 58mm bolt circle, small chainring, 3-speed, 20 teeth, black
TA Specialite 58 mm chainring
Cranksets with the Compact MTB bolt pattern were manufactured from around 1995 to 2000. This bolt pattern replaced the previously standard 74/110 mm pattern and reduced the standard chainring tooth count to 22 to 44 teeth.
Although almost all new mountain bike cranksets are now manufactured with the 4-bolt chainring mount, TA Specialite continues to supply chainrings for almost all older models. Please note that on some Shimano IG cranksets from the LX and XT series, the large chainring is riveted to a spider. Only original Shimano chainrings can be fitted to these cranksets.
These chainrings are compatible with 8-, 9- and 10-speed cranksets
You can achieve a wide range of gear ratios with these chainrings. The range extends from 20 to 50 teeth for compact chainrings. TA Specialite also offers chainring sizes that are rarely found, such as 29, 40 and 50 teeth.
Please note that the difference between individual chainrings should not exceed 12 teeth. Otherwise, you will have to accept compromises in shifting performance. For chainring setups with the largest chainring from 46 teeth upwards, please use Shimano XT derailleurs with a compatible cage
To determine the bolt circle diameter, please measure the distance between two adjacent holes (centre to centre) and multiply this value by 1.7. This will give you the bolt circle diameter.
