Wolf Tooth Drop Stop A Chainring

This single-chainring has been specially developed for converting XT M8000, SLX M7000 and Deore M6000 cranksets with an asymmetrical 96 mm bolt pattern. This allows existing chainring combinations to be converted to a single-chainring drivetrain, saving weight and creating a clean, uncluttered look. The chainring is made from high-strength 7075 T6 aluminium, making it particularly durable and lightweight. It is compatible with all 9-11-speed chains from all manufacturers and 12-speed chains from Sram Eagle, KMC, Connex and Wipperman.

Wolf Tooth’s patented Drop Stop A narrow-wide tooth profile offers the ultimate in chain guidance and self-cleaning. The right-hand side of the tooth is as wide as possible to maximise the contact area with the chain. More contact area means that the load is distributed over a larger surface, which in turn reduces wear. The left side of the tooth is narrower than the chain’s roller pin, so Wolf Tooth has removed excess material to create a channel allowing dirt to drain away. More contact area and space, in turn, means a lower likelihood of the chain falling off whilst riding through dirt.
