KMC chains feature a very slim design, known as ‘lean construction’. As well as being lighter in weight, this design ensures exceptionally smooth running and fewer instances of the chain jamming. The X-Bridge ensures smooth gear changes in every direction. X-SP stands for ‘extra stretch proof’, a process in which all parts of the chain are specially hardened. This treatment makes the pins in particular highly resistant to dust and sand, thereby extending the chain’s service life enormously. The titanium nitride coating not only gives the chain an elegant appearance: TiN is one of the hardest surface treatments in the industrial sector. The surface is extremely low-friction and very easy to maintain.
