KMC X9SL Ti-N 9-speed

In a complex process, the plates of the X-SL chains are milled out and riveted with hollow pins. This achieves a significant weight saving without compromising stability or service life. KMC chains feature a very slim design, known as ‘lean construction’. In addition to reduced weight, this design ensures exceptionally smooth running and fewer chain jams. The X-Bridge ensures smooth shifting in every direction. X-SP stands for ‘extra stretch proof’, a process in which all parts of the chain are specially hardened. This treatment makes the pins, in particular, highly resistant to dust and sand, thereby significantly extending the chain’s service life. The titanium nitride coating not only gives the chain a premium look: TiN is one of the hardest surface treatments in the industrial sector. The surface is extremely low-friction and very easy to maintain.

KMX 9-speed chain compatibility:
KMC X9 chains run superbly on Shimano, SRAM and Campagnolo 9-speed systems. They are extremely lightweight, incredibly durable and, with the MissingLink 9, a breeze to fit.
KMC Missing Link:
The chain connectors, or Missing Links, for 9-speed chains enable simple and secure installation. A standard chain tool is required to shorten the KMC chains to the correct length. The 9-speed Missing Links cannot be reused a second time.
