Shimano CN-M9100 Chain

The high-end Shimano chain for the new 12-speed road bike and MTB drivetrains. Extremely lightweight thanks to its hollow rivets, and made from a high-quality and particularly robust zinc alloy, the Shimano CN-M9100 12-speed chain is also extremely durable. To ensure perfect shifting, the chain is directional; the inner chain plates are specially shaped for fast and smooth shifting. The special asymmetrical outer and inner plates, combined with Shimano’s SIL-TEC surface coating, minimise friction, optimise performance and also reduce dirt build-up.

The chain is perfectly matched to the 12-speed chainrings with Dynamic Chain Engagement+ (DCE+) and narrow-wide tooth profiles. The design results in a tighter fit of the chain on the teeth, leading to significantly smoother running and improved drivetrain efficiency. Thanks to a new chrome-plated surface combined with the proven SIL-TEC coating, the chain’s service life has been maintained at the level of the M9000 chain, despite a narrower outer width.

The Shimano 12-speed HG+ chain is compatible with all Shimano 12-speed drivetrains. Not compatible with 12-speed chainrings from other manufacturers. The inner links of HG+ chains may catch on chainrings from other manufacturers.
