Shimano Dura-Ace FC-R9100P Power Meter Crankset
With the FC-R9010 power meter cranksets, Shimano offers an extremely versatile power meter crankset in the 11-speed Dura-Ace series, which can be combined with 6 different chainring sizes. To this end, the new 4-arm bolt pattern has been developed, which secures the chainrings precisely at the points subject to the greatest stress.
The newly developed power meter crankset from the Dura Ace series features power measurement on both sides. The power meter’s central unit is compactly housed behind the crank spindle, and the strain gauges are integrated into the right and left crank arms. Thanks to the battery integrated into the axle, the Bluetooth interface and the ability to update the power meter’s firmware via the E-Tube platform. The ANT+ interface is compatible with many cycle computers. The power meter features a small magnetic adapter for charging the battery. This ensures the system is completely waterproof and offers an elegant design.
Hollow-forged chainrings, thin-walled hollow-forged crankset arms and a reduction in the outer surface area reduce the weight of the new Shimano Dura-Ace FCR 9100 crankset to 609 grams. The design of the 2x11-speed Hollowtech II crankset not only boasts a look and aesthetic with cult potential, but also ensures enhanced performance. A wider, yet lighter than its predecessor, crank arm and the large chainrings with Hollowglide technology increase stiffness and optimise power transfer to the pedal. Overall, the crankset is remarkably light – weighing in at 609 g for the compact version (50-34T) and 621 g for the standard crankset (53-39T)
The Shimano Dura Ace FC-R9100P power meter crankset can be fitted with the following chainring combinations:
There is now a wide variety of bottom bracket shells available on modern frames. Shimano only offers suitable bottom brackets for a few of these. The Wheels Outboard bottom brackets are significantly more durable than standard press-fit bottom brackets, as the cups are bolted together and thus sit flat and securely in the frame. The Wheels bottom brackets are available with different bearing grades: ABEC3 standard bearings, angular contact bearings and ceramic bearings.
