Shimano Ultegra FC-R8100 12-speed crankset

The new Di2 platform for 12-speed components requires no cable connection to the rear derailleur and front derailleurs. The Di2 Dual Control shift levers ST R8170 have the necessary wireless module integrated. Power is supplied by CR1632 batteries. These have a service life of up to 2 years. The Di2 12-speed rear derailleur, with its additional wireless unit, acts as a receiver and distributor of shift signals and is connected to the battery and front derailleur for power supply and shift command transmission. Additional wireless components, including those from third-party manufacturers, can also be paired with the rear derailleur.

Shimano Ultegra FC R8100 crankset:

Hollow-forged chainrings, thin-walled hollow-forged crank arms and a reduced outer surface area reduce the weight of the new Ultegra 12-speed FCR 8100 crankset. The design of the 2x11-speed Hollowtech II crankset ensures enhanced performance. As a key component in Shimano’s new 12-speed Ultegra series, the FC-R8100 crankset is characterised by Shimano’s signature shifting quality and power transfer efficiency. Redesigned for seamless 12-speed shifting, the Ultegra crankset is available in lengths from 160 to 175 mm. This means greater performance and improved customisation options for smaller riders, triathletes and cyclists with specific biomechanical requirements.
