Bottom Bracket Wheels Manufacturing

The classic BSA bottom brackets from Wheels Manufacturing allow road bike cranksets with a 24 mm axle to be fitted to frames with 68 mm wide BSA bottom bracket shells.

Wheels Enduro ABEC5 angular contact ball bearings:

The Wheels Enduro ABEC5 angular contact ball bearings are specially designed for use in hubs and bottom brackets. Whereas in standard radial bearings only 3 or 4 balls are loaded simultaneously, in angular contact bearings all balls are loaded evenly. This is why this type of bearing is also known as a full-contact bearing. This distributes the applied force across the entire bearing surface, reducing friction and wear. The balls in these Enduro bearings are manufactured with extreme precision, with a tolerance of just 10/1,000,000 – twice as precise as standard industrial bearings. Fitted with double silicone seals, double lip seals and heavy-duty grease, these bearings guarantee excellent durability. The Enduro bearings are easy to maintain and are interchangeable.

BSA threaded bottom bracket shells:

The BSA bottom bracket shells have a width of 68–73 mm and a thread of 1.370 × 24 TPI, with an outer diameter of 34.8 mm, into which the bearing cups are screwed. Both bearing cups are screwed in the direction of travel. Adjustment to the different shell widths is achieved using the shims included in the delivery.

Shimano Hollowtech II 24 mm road crank axle:

The Shimano Hollowtech II crankset system features a solid 24 mm axle. The road bike cranksets have a 110 mm long crankset axle.

FSA MegaExo 24 mm / Road:

The FSA MegaExo crankset system has a solid 24 mm axle, similar to the Shimano Hollowtech II system. However, some models feature a 24.7 mm axle. These bottom brackets are not compatible with those models.
