Wheels Manufacturing Bottom Bracket

The T47 threaded bottom brackets from Wheels Manufacturing allow Sram DUB cranksets with a 29 mm axle to be fitted into frames with T47 bottom bracket shells ranging from 68 mm to 132 mm in width.

Wheels offers the T47 bottom brackets in two versions: the Inboard T47, with narrower cup shells for T47 bottom bracket shells 68 to 132 mm wide, and the Outboard T47 bottom bracket with wider cup shells for 68, 73 and 100 mm T47 bottom bracket shells.

Due to their short axle, BB30 cranks can only be fitted to 68 mm bottom brackets.

30 mm crank axles:

Cranks with a solid 30 mm axle are available from various manufacturers, e.g. the Cane Creek eeWings, FSA BB386EVO, e*thriteen, Race Face Cinch 30, Sram EVO 386 and Rotor 30 models. These crank axles are longer than those of BB30 cranks. A minimum axle length of 104 mm is required for a 68 mm bottom bracket shell width.

Wheels Enduro ABEC5 angular contact ball bearings:

The Wheels Enduro ABEC5 angular contact ball bearings are specially designed for use in hubs and bottom brackets. Whereas in standard radial bearings only 3 or 4 balls are loaded simultaneously, in angular contact ball bearings all balls are loaded evenly. This is why this type of bearing is also known as a full-contact bearing. This distributes the applied force across the entire bearing surface, reducing friction and wear. The balls in these Enduro bearings are manufactured with extreme precision, with a tolerance of just 10/1,000,000 – twice as precise as standard industrial bearings. Equipped with double silicone seals, double lip seals and high-load grease, these bearings guarantee excellent durability. Enduro bearings are easy to maintain and are interchangeable.

T47 threaded bottom bracket shell

The bottom bracket shells have a width of 68 to 121 mm and a 47x1.0 mm thread (outer diameter 47 mm), into which the bearing cups are screwed. Both bearing cups are screwed in the direction of travel. Adjustment to the different shell widths is achieved using the washers included in the scope of delivery.
